This was the landscape in 2011 when ZAQ was launched - people were using essential oils in their food and on their skin. The idea of breathing in diffused essential oils was still in its infancy. In fact, the market was flooded with chemical based air fresheners. Our goal was to create a product that, at its core, was simple, easy to use and safe. Replacing chemical-based aromas with all natural essential oils was the first step. The next was developing an effective method of “misting” these essential oils into the air so that they freshened a room and provided all the benefits of aromatherapy. We were inspired by humidifiers. So we created our diffuser, the first of its kind - a machine that sprays a cold, essential-oil-infused mist into the air. We searched the globe for quality components that would last. After all, aromatherapy is a practice incorporated into everyone’s daily routine, so our products had to withstand constant, daily use.
Our ceramic core, crafted exclusively for ZAQ, comes all the way from Japan - and it is one of the components that sets our product apart from all other diffusers on the market.
