OUR FOUNDER 
Carmen Vidal was born in Algeria, under French colonization, and from a young age was enticed by beauty and fashion. She worked with famous aesthetician Madame Fabré, before moving to Paris to pursue her own career as an aesthetician and finally settling in Alcoy, Spain.  

In 1964, as a response to the lack of quality professional products, Carmen Vidal established her company and named it Germaine de Capuccini.  She chose the French name Germaine and Capuccini, after a popular French actress and model in the sixties that radiated elegance and to whom Carmen admired the pinnacle of beauty and grace. 

In 2009, Carmen Vidal was featured with Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, and the Carita sisters in a Marie Claire Magazine article on the lives and successes of the women who made history in the world of cosmetics.
